Oct 24, 2023
Restoration work on the dry basin is set to start later this week on October 27. They will be restoring the embankments along the north and east sides including the erosion around the large ditches. The work is expected to take two or three weeks depending on the weather. I have attached some images that show a little more detail and here is what all of the colors mean.
Yellow - Removing material
Green - Adding material and seeding with grass
Orange - Adding sod strips
Red - Adding Rip-Rap (large rocks)
Red Lines - Fence Repairs
Purple Lines - Silt Fencing to prevent grass seed from washing away
Blue - Backfill
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Additionally, members of the board met with a drainage engineer last week and looked at the issues at the end of Fallow Deer and on Whitetail. We have ideas for improving both issues and are working to get a survey crew out to help validate things. We will then discuss as a board to come to a decision on an action plan. We are hoping to get these projects done before the rain hits but it's going to be close.
Thanks.
